 Job Title Investments Manager

 Details Key Responsibilities-
Identification and monitoring of a preferred manager list:
Comprehensive understanding of all managers employed, with regard to risk and process
On-going data collection of performance
Meeting with investment managers on a regular basis
Negotiating fees with investment managers
Providing recommendations to the Directors/Trustees for the selection of the most appropriate managers based on individual case assessment
Regular reviews of individual cases for Jersey and Geneva clients:
Identification of high risk holdings
Identification of a mismatch between trustees’/Directors’ wishes and existing portfolio
Meeting with clients as required
Suggesting actions for broad changes to the portfolio i.e. investment strategy or portfolio manager
Assisting trust and company admin teams with regard to investment matters
Help with understanding valuations for book-keeping purposes
Individual investment profiles for each account
Contacting investment managers
Help with opening and closing investment accounts
Review of corporate actions
Input on advisory and execution services
Update staff on investment news
Procedure design, implementation and management:
Settlor directed procedures
Advisory/execution procedures
Selection and de-selection of investment managers

Qualifications and Experience-
The holder of this position should be educated to degree level, ideally in a business related subject and be a member of a relevant professional body
Comprehensive knowledge of and a proven track record in the investment field.
A proven track record in handling complex investment portfolio
A proven track record in client relationship management
Exposure to marketing and business development initiatives coupled with a willingness to get involved in the development of new markets
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for dealing with staff, intermediaries and clients
Excellent time management and organisation
Good presentation skills
Good understanding of financial markets and finances in general
Excellent communication skills
Ability to coach staff
