Vacancy - details    Job Title IT Technical Services Analyst  Details The role holder will provide 3rd line technical support for the group’s IT systems. Key areas are: Technical 3rd line support and troubleshooting Project resource for high priority group projects Technical systems implementation Backup and disaster recovery Responsibilities include- Investigation and resolution of business systems issues Database support Implementation of patches/upgrades Identifying areas of risk, mitigation and improvement of the IT infrastructure Documenting delivered projects Providing technical support on issues out of hours Building good working relationships with other functional areas Project resource Technical skills- An experienced technical engineer with advanced level skills in two or more technologies to include: Sun Solaris Microsoft OS – Windows 2003/2008 Microsoft SQL server 2005/2008 administration Microsoft Sharepoint HP SAN systems VMWare IBM iSeries Microsoft CRM Citrix Skills/experience requirements- Five years experience of 3rd line support in a demanding environment (preferably financial) Experience of and involvement in the software development lifecycle, to include user acceptance testing and system implementation Previously worked in a structured IT department (preferably an ITIL aligned environment) Person Specification- Highly technical focus Keeps up to date with emerging technologies Ability to take ownership and be responsible for actions Enthusiastic and motivated Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) Attention to detail, with ability to produce clear, concise documentation Ability to work as part of a small team Self motivated and able to work on own initiative Well developed time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst multi tasking Willingness to travel globally and to spend short periods of time away from home Ability to be flexible with respect to working hours, according to operational requirements Degree level education or equivalent experience- One or more technical qualifications relevant to their field of expertise (current) ITIL foundation certification  Salary (pa) Negotiable        Job Type Permanent  Sector I.T.      Location Jersey Sub Sector Analyst
